Reviewing May’s Look Fantastic Beauty Box – Part 1

Hello Beauts!

I recently posted my first impressions of May’s Look Fantastic Beauty Box and I’ve began testing the products so in this post I am going to share my thoughts and experiences with the first 3 products I have tried.

Eyeko Eyeliner

So, up first I tried out the black liquid eyeliner by Eyeko. As I mentioned in my first thoughts post I said that I don’t wear eyeliner due to not being able to apply it perfectly like many others so when it came to testing this product I was intrigued to see if it was as easy to apply as it claimed to be. Well it turned out to it was easy to apply! I have tested eyeliner before and always struggled with applying it but this eyeliner was certainly easy to apply to the eyelid but I am definitely going to need practice when it comes to getting that perfect flick! What I like about this eyeliner is the tip is basically a felt tip pen making it easy to draw onto the eyelid. I also found this eyeliner easy to remove with facial wipes.

Face Contour Kit by Sleek Makeup

I was looking forward to trying this product as I’ve never tried contouring before. I had the basic idea of where to contour the face but with this product inside the box was a guide to tell you where to apply it which for me definitely came in handy. I found the contour easy to apply using oval brushes but if you don’t blend it in straightaway then it does become difficult and leaves it pretty dark on your face and for me this isn’t good as I’m very pale and I don’t want to have dark patches left behind! This kit is available in light, medium and dark. The one I received was medium so I think for me I could probably do with the light one. I wasn’t so keen on the highlighter in this kit. I love applying highlighters but this one just didn’t seem to stand out much when applied. I like my highlighter to really glow but this one was pretty disappointing.

Bubble Mask

As I mentioned in my first thoughts post I was very excited to try this product as I had heard so much about them and seen lots of videos of these masks. When I removed the mask from the sachet I found it a little difficult to unfold because it was wet and stuck together! Once I eventually had it unfolded I found it to fit quite well onto my face, you never know with masks like this because everyone has different shaped faces etc. but this one sat well on my face. After about 10 seconds the mask started bubbling and I was pretty fascinated by this process. You could just hear the bubbles forming and could feel the effect on your face! After removing the mask and washing the remaining bubbles off my skin felt fresh and smooth!
